About Dr. Ranttila

 

Dr. Nicole Ranttila is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and graduate of The Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She completed an internship at the St. Louis Psychology Internship Consortium specializing in child and family psychology. In addition, she completed a fellowship at Connections Therapeutic Day School specializing in child and adolescent psychology.

 

Dr. Ranttila specializes in mood and anxiety disorders, autism, relationship issues, family dynamics, discipline, behavior modification, and assessment. Dr. Ranttila is skilled in assessment of socioemotional diagnoses, learning disorders, autism, and ADHD. 

 

A particular area of interest is working with young women on issues of self-reliance and empowerment. She also has taught graduate courses, conducted research and presents on play-based interventions and social skill building. Other areas of clinical interest and expertise also include marital and family therapy, life transitions, personal empowerment, and strengthening parent-child relationships. 

 

Dr. Ranttila is a member of the American Psychological Association, Ohio Psychological Association, and Christian Association for Psychological Studies.  She is the President of the Ranttila Scholarship Foundation and Youngstown Marathon Foundation. She is on the board of Dylan's House, a nonprofit dedicated to helping autistic individuals transition into adulthood. She also volunteers with Autism Society of Mahoning Valley.
